Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he’s owned a dog. A dog can show you more honest affection with a flick of his tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes.”

I love spending time with my Poodles. I love solitude. I love being out in the country, and I love to take photos of them, here is one picture Mike took of us and the bonus is we all are looking in the same direction.

I adore my dogs .Everyone who knows me, knows this. They have the sweetest personality of anyone in my family; never crabby, loves humans, and probably would happily welcome a burglar into our home.
however, Chelsea was and Jackson is starting to be a counter-surfer. Brie cannot reach yet. Jackson is strong and athletic, he can (and will) reach and consume any food that is left within striking distance. This can be quite annoying, especially if you have gone to the trouble of cooking. He shows no remorse, even after all the verbal abuse, so……….Every time I see a list of foods a dog should not eat, I try to skim through it. Science learns more every day and occasionally I catch something new. That’s what happened today when I viewed this Wed MD slideshow. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to run through it; it’s short and to the point, and well worth your time.

I tell Brie this all the time….Brie Hunny, you are a white standard poodle, you are not allowed to play in the earth.

Digging holes, dogs love to dig. Why do dogs dig? Who knows? I think because they are dogs and because it is pleasurable and fun.

since Brie has come into my life I have once again gone overboard with photos. I just can’t help myself! She is a gift and is nothing short of miraculous for me. And even with the sleep challenges we all face with a new puppy, and the training (of which I’m actually guilty of being less strict than in my younger years I’m thrilled to have this special girl in my life.

I am always on the lookout for the healthiest and safest dog treats, I found Himalayan Dog Chew. The Himalayan Dog Chew comes from an ancient recipe of the people of the Himalayas and Nepal, in the mountains surrounding Mt. Everest at more than 15,000 feet. It is made using traditional methods with yak or cow milk. They are all natural with no chemicals or preservatives.
Ingredients: yak and cow milk, salt, lime juice
NO preservatives and NO additives (Who does not prefer all natural dog treats?)

After reading this, you’re probably wondering: Isn’t this like hard cheese? Yes it is! What is wrong with that? The milk used in these in these chews is cooked therefore the protein is not in its raw form and your dog should have no upset tummy. The salt and fat content is so low that it is negligible. Because of their makeup, these dog chews that have been around for 6 years now, are not known to cause any intestinal blockage, unlike other dog chews, as for example rawhide dog chews

Then Brie decided she wanted both, :) she was walking around with both in her mouth.

Christmas Week in the Country

The sun was making its appearance on the horizon, we were already outside for a day of running and exploration, Winter days are often gloomy with frigid temperatures, heavy snowfall, and limited sunlight but on this day of fun and adventure the weather showed mercy and blessed us with ideal conditions.

I love…..
when you come when I call.
when I open the bathroom door and you are sitting there.
Your over the top greeting when I come home.
When we sit together.
watching TV and you lay your head in my lap.
that you love your family as much as We love you.
seeing the two of you snuggled close.
telling you that we are going for a walk.
seeing your furry face first thing in the morning.
that going in the car with me makes you both so happy.
taking you to see new things and places.
watching the two of you and your special relationship with one another.
watching you watching me.
how you guard our home.
seeing you so entertained by the squirrels.
I love you both with all of my heart.

What a cute pup. And what a delicious (!) name. I mean, if you are going to name your dog after a cheese, Brie is much nicer than… Gorgonzola (said with a little vocal question mark-like upturn.)

She is really a sweet pup.
